Terms of participation
These terms apply to every course sold on this site. Read them before you pay, because paying accepts them.
Who you are contracting with
The seller is Tanya Alexia Morosoli Humbert, trading as NeuroTraining Alliance, at Rue du Chanet 9a, 2014 Bôle, Switzerland. She sells in her own name, from Switzerland. Full details are on the imprint, and every written notice under these terms goes to info@neurotrainingalliance.com.
What is sold
A didactic course of 36 hours, accredited by BCIA, covering the 10 domains of the BCIA Blueprint of Knowledge, with the hours for each set out on the courses page. The course page states the language, the format (online, in person or hybrid), the instructor, and the dates once an edition is scheduled. Every edition, in whatever language and format, covers all 10 domains and the full 36 hours, and no domain is abridged.
Who the course is for
The course is written for practising professionals: psychologists, physicians, psychotherapists, neuropsychologists and other health professionals who intend to use neurofeedback clinically. You are responsible for checking that this training fits the rules of your own profession and of the country where you practise.
How a place is confirmed
Your registration is a request until we receive the full fee. Places are allocated in the order they are paid. We confirm your place by email, and that confirmation is the contract between us.
The fee, the currency and what it covers are stated on the course page. We issue a payment receipt for every registration. If you need an invoice in the name of a practice, a company or a partita IVA, ask before you pay and send us the billing details.
The seller does not charge VAT. Where the buyer is a taxable person, any VAT obligation remains with the buyer.
Attendance
The certificate is issued once the full 36 hours have been attended. Session times are on the course page. Partial attendance produces no certificate and gives no right to a refund. If you cannot attend a session, tell us as early as you can; the options open to you are on the cancellation page.
The certificate
You receive a certificate of completion. It records the hours you attended and it counts toward the didactic requirement for BCIA board certification.
BCIA decides certification. It sets the remaining requirements, runs the examination, charges its own fees and publishes its rules at bcia.org. We are an accredited didactic provider and have no part in that decision, and we can promise no outcome from it. The whole sequence, including the steps taken elsewhere, is on the certification page.
Materials and conduct
Slides, handouts and any recording we give you are for your own professional use. Do not copy, publish or resell them, and do not record a session without written permission. Copyright stays with the authors.
Case material discussed in class is confidential and stays in the room. We may remove a participant who disrupts the course or breaches that confidentiality, and no refund is due in that case.
Clinical responsibility
We teach; we do not treat. Decisions about a patient stay with you, within your own competence, your scope of practice and the law where you work. Mentored practical training is a separate BCIA requirement with its own supervisor, described on the certification page.
Liability
We are liable for damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence. Beyond that, our liability under these terms is limited to the fee you paid for the course. Liability that the law does not permit us to limit is unaffected.
Cancellation, refunds and changes to a course
What you get back if you cancel, how to send a colleague in your place or move to a later edition, and what happens if we postpone or cancel a course, are all set out on the cancellation and refunds page, which forms part of these terms.
Your data
The privacy notice says what we collect when you register, why we hold it and how to have it deleted.
Law and jurisdiction
Swiss law applies and the place of jurisdiction is the seller's domicile. The mandatory consumer protections of the country in which a participant lives are unaffected by this.
Changes to these terms
The terms that govern your place are the ones published on this page on the day you register. If we change them, the date at the top of the page changes with them.
